Carina’s and Andrew’s wedding

Carina had her bridal preparation at The Goring hotel. Have you ever heard of The Goring? It’s an amazing hotel 5 minutes walk from Buckingham Palace and when you get there, it’s like a little paradise island. And it’s where Kate Middleton got ready before her wedding day.

I wanted the details shots to be part of the hotel and not to stand out too much. The hotel itself is full of art so bringing Carina’s bridal details and art felt like the right thing to do.

The ceremony took place at Queen’s chapel of Savoy, which was lovely historic church right next to Savoy Hotel. Straight after the ceremony and confetti shots everybody had a ride back to hotel in the red London classic bus, which was pretty fun. Carina and Andrew grabbed the seat at the back and had a bit of “their” time.

Back in The Goring for their reception, the theme worked so great together with the colours of hotel. That emerald green and pink/ burgundy peonies worked incredible together. I just love green at the weddings anyway. And peonies are my favourite flowers.

Carina actually had two wedding dresses for the day, one was worn by her mother 40 years ago on her wedding day. So Carina always had that idea in her head that she wanted to wear that dress on her wedding day, which I thought was very sweet!
